Look at that cute, dimpled, and NG tube-free face!

We had asked (politely) a couple of months ago if Charlotte was in a stable spot to have her NG tube removed for our upcoming trip. From our perspective, she had a great appetite at home and was doing well in keeping herself hydrated. Our primary use for the tube at home was to administer her medication, even though she has no problem swallowing pills on her own.

Dr. Brittany and Kristin agreed - YES! Her weight has been steady for awhile and they were on board with taking a break from her not-so-stylish accessory.

So this morning, after discussing her team's 2nd place finish at Battle of the Books and showing off pictures of our puppy, Charlotte ripped that thing right out. Because of course she did - this girl continues to amaze, inspire, and surprise me! For the first time in months, she's got a clean face and we're excited to have one fewer thing to manage, even if it's temporary!
