Friday Night Jailbreak

Kicking off the weekend with an adventure!

At a follow-up appointment at SCH on Thursday, Kristin (our ARNP) was talking to Charlotte about the Seattle Storm. She then asked if we had any plans tonight - would we want tickets to see the Storm play? Um, yes please.

She had just finished telling us that Charlotte's blood counts were trending upwards and it was safe for us to go, so long as we weren't licking handrails. (We'll have to save that for another time, I guess.)

It was amazing to get out of the house and do something normal! We masked up as we entered and navigated the bottleneck at security, but we were relieved to see our section was relatively empty. We loaded up with the essentials: popcorn, a soft pretzel, and a couple of IPAs. We clapped, we cheered, we saw Doppler the mascot, and we tried to get on the big screen. (Sadly, the camera operator didn't appreciate our skills.)

So appreciative of our team at Children's who recognized Charlotte needed a win and brought a smile to all of our faces! A Friday night well spent!
