PET Update

I spoke with Dr. Brittany this afternoon who let me know there was a "bright spot" that appeared in Charlotte's PET scan, this time on her left leg. She let me know that it wasn't consistent with movement during the scan, but it also wasn't obvious exactly what it was.

My favorite type of information to receive - vague.

So, what does this mean? She'd like to order another MRI, localized to Charlotte's left leg. With an IV. UGH. (Trying to keep this PG, but please know "ugh" was not the first word that came to mind.)

Connor and I knew additional MRIs would be needed throughout this process, but we certainly hoped we'd get further than two weeks from the last. It's been hard to find the balance of wanting Charlotte to be prepared and not having her work herself up over what is to come.

Dr. Brittany did let me know that if this did turn out to be something, it wouldn't change how we treat it, but it could make treatment more aggressive. Longer? Different chemo meds? Unclear. We have a telehealth appointment with her on Tuesday to check in and answer any looming questions about port placement.

Here's hoping for some rest and normalcy this weekend!
