Round 14

Round 14
The "hurry up and take my picture so I can get back to Lego" face.

And just like that, another week & admission is behind us. We checked into Hotel SCH on Tuesday morning and said "DEUCES" on Thursday night. Charlotte's kidneys have been working hard the past two methotrexate doses and she has made it to .1 before having to spend a third night in the hospital. No complaints from any of us!

Our time in the hospital was uneventful, which is exactly what we want it to be. There was a lot of singing, peppermint cocoa drinking, Phase 10 playing, walking, mailbox checking, IV pole beeping, and Lego building going down on the 7th floor. Charlotte was often tired & grumpy, but still found ways to connect with her nurses and make the best of her situation.

Goldilocks decided to try the other bed for a while.

If everything stays on schedule and goes according to plan, Charlotte will be done with chemotherapy just in time for Christmas and her 11th birthday. Of course, we know that isn't the end of the journey. Surgeries (for her left knee, pubic bone, and lungs) will take place sooner rather than later. Every day is one step closer to the finish line. We are getting there!
